Every Halloween it seems there is always one costume that everyone wears. Whether it’s Daenerys from Game of Thrones or a painted Dios de los Muertos skull, every Halloween this is a new trend in costumes. This year it looks like we can expect to see a lot of people walking around as rappers, with face tattoos included.
While tattoos have come a long way and lost much of their taboo face tattoos continue to be highly controversial. This shock value is one reason why young rappers seem to be getting so many bad face tattoos.
Rappers like Post Malone and Tekashi 6ix9ine are known for their bad face tattoos, and luckily for those that want to dress up as them this year there are authentic temporary tattoos available.
Etsy store SymbolicImports has created tons of temporary tattoos that replicate celebrity ink. The owner, Angel, sells temporary tattoos of everyone from Lil Xan to Lil Peep. This year though the biggest sellers are 6ix9ine and Post Malone.
Angel states that daily sales for these rapper’s tattoos have risen rapidly. A pack of 6ix9ine’s face tattoos costs $22.69 USD, but goes all the way up to $69.69 (clever pricing puns there) for all of his tattoos. Post Malone has less ink on his face, but a full pack of his tattoos will set you back $37.
So if you’re looking for an easy Halloween costume this year, simply buy a pack of temporary tattoos and don’t shower for a week!
Or celebrate Halloween by stopping by our downtown Toronto tattoo shop and getting some awesome spooky themed ink!
